These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the digital platforms, websites, mobile applications, software services, and related products operated by Umufasha SmartFarms Ltd, including Umufasha SmartPig, Umufasha SmartPoultry, Umufasha SmartCattle, and any future platforms developed by Umufasha SmartFarms (collectively referred to as the "Platforms").
By creating an account, accessing, or using any of our Platforms, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Platforms.
These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement. We may update these Terms periodically and will provide reasonable notice of material changes before they become effective.
New users receive a six (6) month free trial period, during which they can access all Platform features without charge.
Certain basic features like basic farm data entry and reporting functionality will remain available without payment after the free trial period, subject to feature limitations determined by Umufasha SmartFarms. Umufasha SmartFarms reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the free plan program at any time.
Advanced features, analytics, reporting tools, AI-powered recommendations, financial management tools, multi-user access, integrations, and other premium services. Current pricing and feature availability are published on the respective Platform pricing pages.
We continuously improve our Platforms and may add, modify, suspend, or remove features, functionalities, or services without prior notice where reasonably necessary.

Users are responsible for:
Our Platform features use artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive analytics, or automated decision-support systems. AI-generated recommendations are provided solely as advisory tools and should not be considered professional veterinary, legal, financial, or business advice. Users remain responsible for all decisions made based on Platform recommendations.
All intellectual property rights related to the Platforms, including software, source code, databases, designs, trademarks, logos, content, and documentation, remain the exclusive property of Umufasha SmartFarms. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platforms for their intended purposes. Users may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or create derivative works from any Platform content without prior written permission.
Users retain ownership of all Farm Data submitted to the Platforms. By using the Platforms, users grant Umufasha SmartFarms a limited license to process, store, analyze, and display Farm Data solely for the purpose of providing and improving Platform services. We will not sell individual Farm Data to third parties without user consent except where required by law.
The Platforms may integrate with or provide access to third-party products, services, payment providers, APIs, or websites. Umufasha SmartFarms is not responsible for third-party content, service availability, privacy practices, or losses resulting from the use of third-party services. Use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and conditions.
We aim to maintain reliable Platform availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Temporary interruptions may occur due to system maintenance, technical failures, cybersecurity incidents or events beyond our reasonable control. We are not liable for losses resulting from temporary service interruptions.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Platforms where users violate these Terms, fraudulent activity is suspected, required payments are not made, or continued access presents security or legal risks. Users may terminate their accounts at any time. Termination does not relieve users of outstanding payment obligations.
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Umufasha SmartFarms, its directors, employees, officers, and partners against claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from violation of these Terms, misuse of the Platforms, violation of applicable laws, or infringement of third-party rights.
Users may submit suggestions, ideas, or feedback regarding the Platforms. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Umufasha SmartFarms may use such feedback without restriction or compensation.
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiations. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Rwanda unless otherwise required under AU law.
